2017 7th ANNUAL BLUE SKY DAY DETAILS
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017
HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL, BOSTON, STARTING AT 10:30am

In past years we have had a wonderful turnout of families and supporters. We will meet at 10:30am at Harvard Medical School’s Gordon Hall, very near Boston Children’s Hospital, for an inspiring outdoor program honoring our children. Our children will be cheered on by their personal cheerleaders from Groton Dunstable High School.
We walk to lunch, provided by Rett Syndrome Association of Massachusetts. Plan on a relaxed lunch meeting and mingling with families, members of the Boston Rett Program and local Rett researchers.  Please RSVP now that you will join us on October 21 as we mark Rett Syndrome Awareness Month and celebrate our amazing children.

When you RSVP please indicate your name, your child’s name, how many will be attending, and a few words about your child that can be read during the program. (ex. age, favorite activities, school, hometown).
Help spread Rett awareness by notifying your local newspapers, cable stations, etc. about Blue Sky Day and Rett Syndrome Awareness Month (October).

Contact Irene with any questions and to RSVP at iglad@rcn.com

If you have never attended Blue Sky Day here is your opportunity to join other families for a day to celebrate our children.  This is their day to be recognized.  Come together for friendship, fun and lunch.  There will be crafts, cheerleaders, a short program honoring our children who live with Rett syndrome each day and opportunities to see familiar faces and meet new friends who know what it means to travel the Rett Road. Please invite your family and friends to take part in this special day as part of Rett Syndrome Awareness Month.

CRIMSON/RSAM SWIM PROGRAM DETAILS
BEGINNING OCTOBER 2017 (Saturday, October 28, 2017 - Time TBD)

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child, of any age and ability, to take part in an adaptive swim experience.  The program that began last year at the West Suburban Y in Newton will continue monthly beginning in October.  Please let Irene know if you are interested in participating with your child in Newton.  Due to generous donations, there will most likely be no charge for the swim program!  The program may be able to expand to other locations.  if you are interested in participating with your child, but Newton is not convenient for you, please contact Irene at iglad@rcn.com.  Maybe there are others in your area who are also interested and a program can be developed near you.
